Peru is a country in western South America and it borders 5 countries: Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Ecuador. Peru has a population of about 32 million and is the 3rd largest country in South America. Peru is a very diverse country with a coastal region, high mountain ranges and a jungle which covers 60% of the country. High in the Andes mountains is Machu Picchu, the famous ancient Incan city.
