A flight from New York/USA takes 14 hours to get to Nairobi, the country's capital city. Kenya's wildlife is bountiful. It is home to many species of mammals and birds like lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, monkeys, leopards, rhinos and buffaloes. Amboseli National Park offers breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, which is Africa's highest peak and is located in neighboring Tanzania. Former U.S. president Barack Obama's father was from Kenya. Spoken languages are Swahili and English (both official), and numerous indigenous languages mainly Kikuyu and Luhya.
